Over the past couple of years, we’ve missed welcoming supporters, volunteers and friends to the Hospice. For the first time since 2019, we’re thrilled to be opening our doors once more as LOROS’ Big Day Out is back! Join us for our free, family fun day on Sunday 4th September here at LOROS Hospice.
With a range of food and craft stalls, games and activities, there’s something for everybody to enjoy. Our beautiful Hospice grounds will host outdoor games, bouncy castles and go-karting experiences while children can ride on a mini fire engine and come face-to-face with adorable fluffy alpacas.
You can see first-hand how your support makes a world of difference to the services and facilities available at LOROS to patients and their families. The Big Day Out is the perfect chance to discover what exactly Hospice care is and how we’re here for you.

Ribbons for Remembrance
Guests are also invited to join us in the beautiful Hospice gardens to tie a lasting love knot around the branches of our tribute tree in remembrance of a loved one. Please note that we have no car parking on site. We politely ask that you consider car sharing, using public transport or walking where possible. For those requiring car parking, we have the use of the car park next to Gilroes cemetery, a short 5-minute walk from the Hospice for a donation to LOROS. A shuttle bus will also be available for those who are less mobile. Buses also run every ten minutes along Groby Road.
