Our mission

Valuing our LOROS people through training and development is vital to ensuring a competent workforce which serves to ensure that the patients, carers and families that we support receive the best possible care.

Our people are encouraged to consider their own development through a robust and meaningful appraisal process which addresses their own career aspirations, the skills required throughout all areas of the organisation and individual progression in its widest sense.

Having the right people with the right skills ensures that we operate with competence and that we can truly live up to the expectations of those who know and recognise LOROS as a Centre of Excellence in palliative and end of life care.

Our evidence-based clinical training is underpinned by cutting-edge research, conducted by our in-house team and led by Professor Christina Faull and all of our teams are encouraged to consider:

• Accessing e-learning through Unicorn, our internal Learning Management System.
