Returning for the first time since 2019, the LOROS’ much-loved Ladies Lunch is scheduled to take place over two days on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th September 2022.
Hosted at Leicester’s King Power Stadium, the event will see hundreds of friends, colleagues and clients gather in support of LOROS Hospice. Promising an afternoon of food, fizz and fantastic entertainment, Michael David Edwards, better known as Eddie the Eagle, is confirmed as the Ladies Lunch guest speaker across both dates.
The event will also feature a bespoke shopping hall where products can be purchased from independent local retailers before attendees enjoy a three-course meal. Eddie the Eagle will be both entertaining and inspiring guests with his iconic tale of determination and laughter.
Michael David Edwards, Eddie the Eagle says; "I cannot wait to be a part of the LOROS Ladies Lunch this September. I’ll be sharing my story of being an English ski-jumper and how in 1988 I became the first Olympic competitor since 1921 to represent Great Britain.
"Be sure to join me for a wonderful day with friends and together, let’s raise much-needed funds for LOROS Hospice."
The LOROS Ladies Lunch is one of the charity’s longest running and highly-anticipated event with guests from all over the county and beyond turning out to support LOROS.
Fundraising events like the Ladies Lunch support LOROS Hospice in providing specialist care and services for thousands terminally ill patients and their families each year across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland each year. The success of the last Ladies Lunch event made a record-breaking amount for the Hospice, raising almost £20,000. LOROS hopes that this year can be even better.
Charlotte Graham, Events Coordinator at LOROS Hospice adds; “As we welcome our guests back to dine with us, we have made the decision this year to host the event over two dates with reduced capacity to help keep everybody safe.
“We know that a lot of our supporters have been looking forward to the return of the LOROS Ladies Lunch so we’re thrilled that it’s back again this year. The story of Eddie the Eagle is brilliant and it’s a truly unique opportunity to hear it first-hand from the man himself!”
Tickets are priced at £47 per person and there are also have a limited number of exclusive VIP packages available. Priced at £57pp, VIP tickets include a meet and greet opportunity with Eddie the Eagle, as well as benefit from a table close to the front of the room.
