Patient and Public Involvement (PPI)

Research, Patient and Public Involvement (PPI)

The views and involvement of patients, family and the public is an important part of all our research. The LOROS Research Consultee group is key in helping the research team in developing, shaping and delivering research and maximising the impact that we can make.

They are a small group who meet every couple of months and discuss a variety of topics. They may be asked about the importance and relevance of the topics that the researchers are planning to study and the research questions that the researchers are seeking answers to; or to give an opinion on the wording of a new questionnaire, or to talk to academics or practitioners about their research. They all have different experiences and everyone’s input is valuable.

If you would like more information about PPI or becoming a PPI Research Consultee please contact Dr Zoebia Islam at or you can register your interest here.

Irfhan Mururajani has been a research consultee and talks about the work his motivations to be involved in research on this video.
