The Twilight Walk 2023- a roarsome day!

On Saturday 8th July, over 700 walkers took to the streets of Leicester for LOROS Hospice’s annual Twilight Walk. Jungle-themed, the walkers were led by local boy and I’m a Celeb runner up Owen Warner, who fired the starting pistol, alongside his family and girlfriend, fellow Hollyoaks actor Jemma Donovan. The weather may have been stormy but the atmosphere was nothing but joyful as hundreds of people donned colourful costumes to walk 10k in memory of loved ones and raise money for LOROS.

Caroline Baker, LOROS deputy CEO said: “Twilight is such a feelgood event, we’d like to thank all our supporters for coming out regardless of the weather! It was a brilliant evening, raising thousands and thousands for our care for patients and their families.”

Owen, whose mum volunteers for LOROS, says the charity is close to his heart: “The stories my mum tells me of the care and support people receive at the end of their lives, is just so heart warming. I want to do anything I can to support LOROS.”
