LOROS Hospice is delighted to announce the return of its much-anticipated family fun day, the Big Day Out, taking place on Saturday 19th August 2023, from 10am to 4pm.

The Big Day Out, now in its fifth year, promises an exciting blend of entertainment, children’s games and activities, craft stalls, and more. Held on the beautiful grounds of LOROS Hospice, the Big Day Out is a fantastic opportunity for everyone in the local community to join in with the fun and support their local Hospice.

There will be outdoor games, bouncy castles and mini golf whilst also giving children the chance to check out a police car and come face-to-face with adorable fluffy alpacas. And when it comes to food, there will be a variety of food stalls offering everything from a tasty BBQ to delicious, sweet treats that will satisfy any craving.

Kim Blount, Mass Participation Events Officer at LOROS Hospice, said: “We’re delighted to welcome everyone back for this ultimate summer event. The Big Day Out is the perfect chance to discover what Hospice care is and how we’re here for you. We will be offering Hospice tours on the day so you can see first-hand how your support makes a world of difference to the services and facilities available to patients and their families. It’s free entry, so mark your calendar and join us for a day that’s going to be fantastic.”

Beyond the fun and laughter, there will also be an opportunity to find out how you can make a difference through volunteering with LOROS Hospice and the range of exciting job vacancies.

There's no need to book, just join us on the day!

Please note, there is no parking available onsite at the Hospice. For those requiring car parking, we have arranged the use of the car park next to Gilroes Cemetery, post code LE3 9QG, just a short 5-minute walk from the Hospice.
