It’s been 25 years since Tricia Stewart became Miss October and the alternative WI calendar was born.

The 2000 edition of the calendar sold an astonishing 88,000 copies in the first year and raised huge sums for cancer research.

Now Tricia is telling her story at the LOROS Annual Lunch, on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd May 2024.

The event, which is being held at historical Winstanley House, promises an afternoon of food, fizz and fantastic entertainment. Tickets are selling fast, with Wednesday mostly sold out and limited numbers left for Thursday.

Tricia’s fundraising phenomenon not only inspired the iconic movie ‘Calendar Girls’, starring Dame Helen Mirren, but also became a hugely successful West End stage play.

Tricia said: “Being a part of the LOROS Annual Lunch is an honour. I can’t wait to share my story behind the Calendar Girls journey and celebrate the incredible work that LOROS Hospice does. Let's make this year’s Annual Lunch the best one yet.”

The event will also feature a bespoke shopping hall where attendees can browse and purchase gifts from independent local retailers, before indulging in a delicious two-course lunch.

Iva Vuchkova, Events Coordinator at LOROS Hospice said: “The Annual Lunch holds a special place as one of our longest running events. Last year’s Annual Lunch made almost £20,000 for our care for patients and families which was fantastic. We’re hoping this year’s will be even better!”

Tickets are priced at £47 per person, with a limited number of exclusive VIP packages for £57 per person. VIPs will enjoy a meet and greet with Tricia Stewart, as well as a table located closer to the stage. Act fast – tickets are selling out quickly, spaces are still available for Thursday!
