Bring the whole family and experience the Hospice grounds filled with outdoor games, bouncy castles and mini golf. Children will love having the chance to check out a real-life fire engine and come face-to-face with fluffy alpacas and a variety of minibeasts.

There will also be a range of food and craft stalls, and you can experience the thrill of fairground rides, teacups, trampolines and chair swings.

Take a moment to visit the beautiful Tree of Life sculpture in the tranquil surroundings of the Hospice. For those wishing to celebrate and remember someone special, leaves can be purchased and engraved with a personal message.

Visitors can explore the Hospice with guided tours and discover the vital care and support available to local patients and their families.

Megan Whittaker, Challenge Events Fundraising Coordinator at LOROS Hospice, said: “The Big Day Out is about celebrating the incredible work that happens at the Hospice and a brilliant opportunity to discover how we’re here for you.”

“We’re especially excited to introduce Cellie-bration, the first of 40 mammoth sculptures stampeding into the city in July 2025. We’ll tell you about all the ways you can be part of the Stomp Round Leicester trail and have an elephantastic time!”

You can also find out more about exciting volunteering opportunities with LOROS.

There's no need to book, just join us on the day!

Please note, there is no parking available onsite at the Hospice. For those requiring car parking, we have arranged the use of the car park next to Gilroes Cemetery, post code LE3 9QG, just a short 5-minute walk from the Hospice.
