LOROS’ popular Spiral Scratch charity shop has reopened on Thursday 18th June following its move from 63 Queens Road to larger premises at 85 Queens Road.
As part of the move, LOROS’ bookshop will relocate to Spiral Scratch’s former home at number 63, meaning the two shops have effectively swapped locations. The bookshop will have a small refurbishment in the coming weeks.
The move gives the specialist music shop more space for musical instruments, vinyl records and CDs. An additional upstairs room will provide volunteers with a dedicated area to repair and restore gaming equipment and musical instruments, helping to save items from landfill and giving customers even more unique finds to buy.
Customers will still be able to try out records in the shop’s popular listening booth, a much-loved feature from the original shop.
Matt Gale, Shop Manager at Spiral Scratch said: “Spiral Scratch has become a community hub for music and tech lovers. We’re excited to welcome customers to our larger new home, where there’s even more to discover.
“Every donation and purchase helps raise vital funds for LOROS Hospice, supporting patients and their families when they need us most.”
