As we head towards the end of another busy year, we're delighted to share the latest education opportunities from the LOROS Centre for Excellence.
Our education programmes help build confidence, develop practical skills and help improve care for people living with serious illness, frailty and complex care needs across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
This edition of our newsletter highlights upcoming courses, new opportunities for learning and ways you can continue to develop your knowledge in palliative and end of life care.
Personalised end of life care is everybody's business
One of our flagship programmes, PELCEB, continues to bring together professionals to explore the principles of personalised end of life care.
Delivered over three study days plus a follow up session, the programme encourages participants to reflect on their own practice, share experiences and develop practical approaches that can make a real difference to people approaching the end of life.
Our winter 2027 cohort begins in January.
Building confidence in difficult conversations
Having honest and empathic conversations can be one of the most rewarding and challenging aspects of caring for patients with a life limiting illness.
Our upcoming communication programmes are designed to help professionals develop the confidence and skills needed to navigate these conversations effectively.
