Colin and his friend Karl planned to cycle nearly 1,000 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats, starting on May 10th, to raise money for LOROS. What began as a joint challenge quickly became a solo mission when unforeseen circumstances meant Karl couldn’t take part. Undeterred and determined, Colin carried on alone, pushing through the tough journey to support a cause close to his heart.
Colin has personal experience of someone being cared for by LOROS in their final days, so he knows just how important the charity’s work is. His partner, Verene, also volunteers for LOROS, making the ride even more meaningful for them both.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters, Colin smashed his original fundraising target of £1,000—raising an incredible £1,550. Every mile cycled was a powerful reminder of the impact LOROS has on families and individuals during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Thank you to everyone who donated and supported Colin along the way – and a huge thank you to Colin for pressing on and completing an outstanding fundraiser.
