Quorn Open Gardens 2025 event was held on the weekend of 14th and 15th June and was fortunate to enjoy gorgeous, sunny weather on both days. Hundreds of enthusiastic visitors, locals and people from all parts of the UK, strolled around the village taking in the beautiful public spaces as well as streaming in and out of the 19 gardens open across the weekend. The gardens offered a whole range of styles, sizes and types giving visitors ideas and inspiration to use in their own outdoor spaces. Some visitors plotted their route around the village and ticked off each garden they visited. Others strolled around spending time relaxing and taking in the ambiance of gardens which particularly attracted them. Garden openers were thrilled to receive positive and heart-warming comments from visitors and enjoyed chatting with them about their garden’s inspiration and upkeep. Visitors were treated to musical entertainment in one garden, had the opportunity to buy lovingly raised plants in several places and were spoilt for choice of homemade refreshments in gardens throughout the village.
The event supported LOROS and the magnificent sum of £4541.20 was raised from the sale of passports, refreshments and plants.
Jenny and Debra wish to thank garden openers for all their hard work in preparing their gardens and for welcoming a steady stream of visitors from 1pm till 5pm. Thanks also go to Quorn Parish Council, Reed & Baum and Bradley’s for supporting the event.
