A group of students and teachers from Loughborough College Sixth Form recently took on the Silverstone Run Fest to raise money for a range of charities, including LOROS. Their overall fundraising target was £10,000, with several participants dedicating their efforts specifically to support our hospice.
The event was held at the Silverstone Formula 1 Grand Prix Circuit, which for the day transformed from a racing venue into a place of community and charity. It was inspiring to see young people and educators come together, running with determination and a shared commitment to making a positive impact.
Three of the students chose to run for LOROS, demonstrating their personal connection and support for the care we provide. So far, the team has raised £637, a meaningful contribution that will help us continue offering compassionate care to patients and families in our community.
We are very grateful to everyone involved for their time, energy, and generosity. Their efforts are a wonderful example of how collective action can make a real difference.
From all of us at LOROS, thank you to the students, teachers, and everyone who supported the Loughborough College Sixth Form team.
