Children from Daisy Chain nursery in Blaby and Whetstone, visited LOROS to help plant seeds to grow a variety of vegetables for our patients.
The children came prepared for the sun with sunglasses, hats and water bottles.
Its been a pleasure to have the children join us and get stuck in. Our amazing volunteers popped by to explain to the children about all of the fruit and vegetables that we grown onsite and they absolutely loved it.
They had soil over their little hands, which they thoroughly enjoyed. After a quick clean up, we headed to the social area for a refreshing drink and a biscuit which our amazing catering team provided.
We have loved having little hands to help us today and we are looking forward to seeing them all again soon when the vegetables start to grow!
