After experiencing the loss of several close family members, including a beloved grandma, brother, and mother‑in‑law, Abigail Sherwood took on the challenge of the Wolf Run in their memory and in recognition of the incredible care received from LOROS.
Through some of the most difficult times, the support from LOROS, the CHANCE Club, and the wider team made a lasting difference — not only to those receiving care, but to the whole family. The CHANCE Club in particular has been a special place for the children, offering support, friendship, and a space where they can connect with others who understand their experiences.
Reflecting on the challenge, Abigail shared:
“Taking on the Wolf Run was one of the toughest things I’ve done, but it is nothing compared to what our loved ones faced. I wanted to do something to honour their memory and give something back to a charity that has given so much to our family.”
Taking on the Wolf Run was a way for Abigail to give something back. Completing it was about honouring their memory and helping ensure that other families can continue to receive the same care, compassion, and support.
A heartfelt thank you to Abigail for this incredible effort — your strength, kindness, and determination truly make a difference.
