LOROS Hospice recently had the pleasure of welcoming talented Level 3 Beauty students from Leicester College, who visited the hospice to offer a range of mini treatments to our dedicated staff and volunteers.
The students provided a selection of relaxing therapies, including mini facials, nail polish applications, and soothing arm and hand massages. These small but thoughtful acts of kindness were greatly appreciated, creating moments of calm and care for those who give so much to others every day.
Staff and volunteers commented on how much they enjoyed the experience, with many praising the students for their professionalism, confidence and friendly approach. The treatments not only lifted spirits but also created a positive and uplifting atmosphere across the hospice.
Opportunities like this are incredibly valuable for students as they continue their learning journey. Engaging in real-life experiences helps to build confidence, develop communication skills and support their practical training—an important part of working towards their qualifications.
We are extremely grateful to the Leicester College students and their tutors for choosing to support LOROS in such a meaningful way. Their visit highlights how acts of kindness, no matter how small, can make a big difference to wellbeing and community connection.
Thank you for your time, care and professionalism—you truly made a difference.
