LOROS would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone involved in the inaugural Rothley Allotment Produce Show and Craft Fair, which has raised an incredible £2,598.85 for charity. The proceeds were shared between LOROS and Heart Link, with LOROS receiving a fantastic donation of £1,300.
Held at the Rothley Community Centre, the event was a wonderful celebration of community spirit, local talent and the hard work of allotment holders from across the village. Visitors enjoyed an impressive display of fruit, vegetables, flowers, baking and crafts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the day.
We were delighted that the event was officially opened by Ady Dayman, alongside local councillor Linda Danks, whose support helped make the day even more special.
As the first produce show organised by the Rothley Allotment Association, the event exceeded all expectations. It brought together residents of all ages, showcased the passion and dedication of local growers, and raised vital funds for two charities that support people across the region.
Everyone at LOROS would like to thank the organisers, volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors and everyone who attended for making the day such a success. Community events like this play a vital role in supporting our work and ensuring we can continue providing free, high-quality hospice care for patients and their families.
We are thrilled to hear that the produce show is set to become an annual event and look forward to seeing it grow from strength to strength in the years ahead.
