On 26th September, the residents of Victoria Road, Woodhouse Eaves came together for what has become a much-loved annual Coffee and Cake charity fundraiser. This year's event marked the fourth gathering and, for the first time, saw funds raised in support of LOROS Hospice.
Neighbours, friends and visitors from across the village enjoyed coffee and an impressive selection of homemade cakes, all while soaking up the beautiful late September sunshine. The warm weather helped create a wonderful atmosphere, making the day even more special for everyone who attended.
Now an important fixture in Victoria Road's community calendar, the event is a fantastic example of how bringing people together over good conversation and home baking can create a memorable occasion while supporting a vital local cause.
Thanks to cake sales, a raffle and many generous donations, the event raised an outstanding £576.27 for LOROS Hospice, making it the most successful Coffee and Cake fundraiser to date.
The wonderful residents of Victoria Road are already looking forward to welcoming everyone back next year and continuing their support for such an important local charity.
On behalf of everyone at LOROS, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the residents of Victoria Road and everyone who attended, donated, baked, volunteered and supported the event.
