Following an incredible, record breaking event last year, we’re ready to make 2027 even bigger and better!
In 2026, over 280 amazing runners took on Run Leicester for LOROS, raising more than £80,000 in sponsorship alone! Their fantastic fundraising efforts helped contribute to a record breaking £150,000 + raised for LOROS Hospice across the event, with the total continuing to grow.

Whether you’re taking on your first 10k, stepping up to a half marathon or chasing a new personal best, every step you take and every pound you raise will help LOROS continue providing vital care and support to patients and families across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
We’re offering free charity places to runners who pledge to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship for LOROS Hospice.
With two fantastic routes to choose from, an electric atmosphere and thousands of supporters cheering you on, Run Leicester is an experience you won’t want to miss.

Run Leicester Half Marathon
The 13.1-mile course winds through the bustling city centre and picturesque open parks. With vibrant entertainment, enthusiastic cheers, and an uplifting atmosphere to drive you forward, this is more than just a run - it’s a celebration of the city of Leicester! Whether you’re conquering your very first half marathon or chasing a personal best, the Run Leicester Half Marathon is your chance to be part of an incredible day filled with energy, music, and unforgettable memories.
Run Leicester 10k
The Run Leicester 10k offers a truly memorable running experience! Following the Half Marathon route, you’ll race along the vibrant Golden Mile, past the National Space Centre, and through the scenic green space of Abbey Park. As you head back into the heart of Leicester's vibrant city centre, the feel good atmosphere and entertainment will keep your spirits high.
The final challenge? Conquer the climb up picturesque New Walk to cross the finish line with a sense of triumph.
