Summer Tennis League

We were delighted to have a fantastic year of tennis in 2025 and successfully raised an incredible £2,761.93. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this achievement!

Below is all the essential information about how the league is organised and how to apply for the 2026 season. 

League Format 

• The league is organised into groups of 7 pairs, meaning each couple plays 6 matches (this may vary depending on the total number of pairs entered). 

• Groups are arranged based on the results of the previous year. New players will be placed in groups matching their skill level. 

• Information about your assigned group will be sent out by mid-May, and matches must be arranged and played by 30th October. 

• Match format: Each match consists of three sets to six. All three sets must be played regardless of the outcome of the first two sets. 

• The home team provides balls and, if possible, light refreshments. 

• League withdrawal: If, for any reason, you need to withdraw during the league, please inform your group. If you have played fewer than half of your scheduled matches, your results will be removed. If you have played more than half, your results will be counted.

Entry Information 

To enter the league: 

1. Click the link below to register and pay either for yourself and your partner or as an individual.

2. Registration closes on 27th April 2026.

League group information will be emailed by mid-May. 

Match results

• Please keep a record of your results throughout the season.

• Once all matches are completed, email copy of the results chart to: heathermcateer@aol.com OR submit a hard copy to:

End of season supper

• Time: 7pm arrival, 7:30pm supper

• Cost: £12 per person
