Tracey Foster retires

By Caroline Plumb

A week ago we said goodbye to Tracey Foster who has retired from LOROS after 35 years’ service. Tracey started her journey on the ward in 1990 before moving on to deputy lead at Manorcroft Day Hospice. Finally she worked as a CNS, initially in the LOROS team and then in the integrated community specialist palliative care team. Tracey reflected that her whole life has changed in her time at LOROS, she got engaged, married and watched her children grow up, all whilst working here.

Tracey was well respected within her team and the wider hospice and leaves a big gap in the service; we are losing so much experience, knowledge and seemingly effortless care. I have just received a final feedback form about Tracey which exemplifies her care: “From the first visit we were fully supported … we got open and honest answers which helped us to know what to expect”.
