You may have heard about our CHANCE Club. It is a special after school group for bereaved children, a safe space filled with fun, laughter and connection. The CHANCE Club first launched in April 2024 as a pilot project led by Caroline Rogers.
At the very first session, 14 children attended, with an average of 7 children at each session during the pilot phase.
Since April 2025 through to the end of 2025, the impact has continued to grow and more team members have got involved including Stacy Munday, Sharon Milledge Ball and other members of the counselling team:
60 children have attended CHANCE Club sessions
35 children joined our summer event
29 children attended our Christmas event
We’ve received 6 gifts in kind donations to support the club
What started as a pilot has quickly become a meaningful source of support, connection and joy children and families who are bereaved. These sessions are now run once a month after school and then two sessions are held a year before summer and Christmas where the entire family can join us.
