Celebrating dedication and commitment
Long service awards 2024
On Thursday 28th November 2024, we came together to mark the dedication and hard work of a number of our incredible colleagues at this year’s long service awards. The event, held in the Centre for Excellence, was a celebration of loyalty, care, and the deep-rooted passion that drives everything we do.
In total, 80 years of collective service were recognised, with colleagues celebrating milestones ranging from five to 20 years. Each recipient was presented with a pin badge, symbolising their years of dedication in five year increments. These badges are more than just tokens; they represent the countless moments of care, compassion, and commitment our colleagues have given to our patients and their families.
The ceremony was made even more special by the presence of our President, Lady Jenny Gretton, who presented the awards. Jenny’s warmth and words of encouragement resonated deeply with everyone in the room.
A highlight of the event was the heartfelt speech delivered by our Deputy Chief Executive, Caroline Baker. Caroline spoke with admiration and gratitude, reflecting on the immense contributions of the awardees. Her words captured the spirit of LOROS and the profound impact that years of service have on both the organisation and the community we support.
Following the presentations, everyone enjoyed a relaxed gathering over tea and cake, with plenty of laughter and shared memories. The atmosphere was one of pride and celebration, a true reflection of the LOROS spirit.
Congratulations to all the recipients! We look forward to celebrating many more milestones with you in the years to come.
Here’s to the next chapter of service and care!
