We have signed up to be part of the 2026 Birdsong Hospice Survey which will be running from 11th May – 5th June. Birdsong’s Hospice Survey is a well-trusted and carefully thought-out staff satisfaction survey that is designed to illuminate the issues that matter most to hospice charity people when carrying out our work. It will be available to everyone to take online during a set live period, via a secure survey link unique to our charity.
The survey will be an important way for us to hear about your experience in being part of this organisation. From your feedback we will know more about the areas where we are doing well and the areas we could improve on. Being part of the Hospice Survey collective-participation period (when hospices from around the UK all take the survey at the same time) allows us to see the benchmarked average data from across the sector too.
The survey will be completely anonymous. No one at LOROS will ever have access to an individuals set of responses and no analysis will be undertaken that shows detailed breakdowns of responses for very small groups. As such, your anonymity will be preserved throughout the entire survey taking and reporting process as we want to support you to provide your most honest feedback.
The collective outcomes will be shared with you all after the results are in. We will be keen to involve everyone in reflecting on the results, developing constructive conversations together and engaging in any action planning which may emerge from this process.
We are also choosing to include a short section of diversity demographics in the survey. The questions may be sensitive to some, but providing us with this information will help us act more effectively and inclusively, as well as informing strategy. Your answers to these questions will also be, as with the rest of the survey, kept completely anonymous. Demographic information will be used in aggregate and will not be linked to you individually.
