We’re delighted to share that Ryan’s Story has won the Silver People’s Choice Award at this year’s Smiley Charity Film Awards.
The three-minute film tells the story of LOROS patient Ryan Archer, who is living with cancer in his spine. It highlights his care and treatment at LOROS, as well as his incredible fundraising efforts through his annual festive tractor run.
The film also shines a light on the challenges hospices are currently facing, helping raise awareness of the pressures on hospice care and why support for services like LOROS matters so much.
The Smiley Charity Film Awards celebrate charities using film to inspire change and build empathy, and this year LOROS was up against some major national charities with much bigger budgets — making this achievement even more special.
A huge thank you to everyone who voted and helped spread the word. Receiving so much support from the public really shows how valued hospice care is and how powerfully Ryan’s story connected with people.
