What a mammoth night we had at the Stomp Round Leicester Auction!
Last week, 40 giant elephants and 2 Baby Elephants from our Stomp Round Leicester art trail were auctioned off — raising an incredible £286,800 to support hospice care at LOROS.
The highest winning bids included £14,000 for Ellie, a life-like representation of a young African elephant by artist Amy Bourbon and £12,000 for XL, which was designed by international artist Alex Echo. The bidders online and in the room showed amazing generosity and love for these beautiful works of art!
At the Auction we showed the audience this video. Amid the celebration and colour, it was vital to show people what we are raising funds for.
This story is special but it’s also just one of thousands which play out across the hospice day in, day out. It’s why LOROS Hospice is unique and so well loved, and its why we need to fight to keep it.
Huge thanks to Ryan for supporting us.
