This week marks a very special milestone for LOROS – our Lottery is celebrating its 30th birthday on Sunday 11th October.
Since launching in 1996, the LOROS Lottery has raised an incredible £24 million to support our work caring for patients and families across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
To put that figure into perspective, £24 million is enough to fund more than two years of LOROS’ care.
It’s a brilliant reminder of just how important the Lottery is to our fundraising. Week after week, thousands of people choose to play, and those individual Lottery numbers collectively provide a vital and dependable source of income for LOROS – helping us continue to be there for local people and their families when they need us most.
Of course, none of this would be possible without our wonderful Lottery players, some of whom have supported us for the full 30 years, or the colleagues and volunteers who have helped make the Lottery such a success over the past three decades.
