We are looking to appoint a dynamic experienced and highly motivated nurse to join our Community Specialist Palliative Care team. This is part of a newly developed Integrated Community Specialist Palliative Care Service (ICSPCS) across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and the post holder will be based Market Harborough/South Leicestershire.
This postholder will work as part of a multi-professional team and autonomously as a specialist palliative care nurse within a locality to manage patients with complex health needs and support families and carers in the community.
You will need to have as a minimum:
1st Level Nurse
Degree or equivalent
Post registration qualifications
Evidence of continuing professional development in last 12 months
In addition, you will need to have well-developed interpersonal skills. A non-medical prescribing qualification is highly desirable as is a diploma or degree in palliative and/or community experience. Undertaking a non-medical prescribing course will be essential to this post.
Due to the nature of the role and visiting patients in the community you will need to hold a current driving licence and have access to a car/transport.
