On Friday 15th May 2026, the Involved Holidays team took on an incredible challenge much closer to home, a 26.2‑mile charity walk around Rutland Water in support of LOROS Hospice, one of Leicestershire and Rutland’s most vital charities.
Setting off bright and early at 8am from Oakham, the team followed the stunning Rutland Water circuit—one of the most picturesque walking routes in the East Midlands—completing the full marathon distance in aid of the incredible care LOROS provides to terminally ill patients and their families.
While the team are now feeling the effects—with sore legs and plenty of blisters—they are incredibly proud of what they’ve achieved together. Their determination, resilience and team spirit truly shone through every step of the journey.
Thanks to their fantastic efforts and the generosity of those who supported them, the team has raised an amazing £1,030, more than double their original target. This is a remarkable achievement and will make a real difference in helping LOROS continue its vital work across our community.
