The strength of support for LOROS across Leicestershire was on full display at St Nicholas’ Church on 27 June, as the community came together for a spectacular Last Night of the Proms concert in aid of the hospice.
The church was filled with enthusiastic music lovers, all eager to enjoy an evening of music while supporting the vital work of LOROS. Volunteers proudly wore LOROS T-shirts and helped spread the hospice message through posters, flyers and collection buckets, creating a wonderful atmosphere of community spirit and support.
The concert itself was a tremendous success. As the music reached its finale, flags waved throughout the church and the audience joined in with great enthusiasm, making for a truly memorable celebration.
Guests left full of praise for the event and with a renewed appreciation of the important role LOROS plays within the local community.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended and supported the evening, St Nicholas’ Parochial Church Council (PCC) was delighted to present LOROS with an incredible £1,250, raised from the concert's proceeds.
LOROS would like to thank St Nicholas’ Church, the organisers, volunteers and all those who attended for helping to make the evening such a resounding success.
