A group of inspiring young fundraisers have shown that age is no barrier to making a difference after raising an incredible £300 for LOROS Hospice through their own community fundraising event.
Armed with homemade cakes, handcrafted bracelets, and a selection of clothes, toys and books they had lovingly sorted through after growing out of them, the children set up their fundraising stall with one goal in mind: to support a charity that means so much to them.
Proudly wearing their bright yellow LOROS t-shirts, they welcomed customers with smiles, enthusiasm and a determination that impressed everyone who stopped by. Throughout the day, they spoke passionately about the work of LOROS, sharing why the charity is so important and encouraging others to support its vital care and services.
Their dedication left a lasting impression on visitors.
"I wish you could have heard them talking about LOROS and how important it is to them to all their customers. They were fantastic! Very proud Mummy."
What made the day especially heart-warming was the way the children engaged with people from across the local community. Whether explaining how they had made their bracelets, serving homemade treats or chatting about the work of LOROS, they demonstrated kindness, confidence and a genuine desire to help others.
Every cake sold, bracelet purchased and pre-loved item given a new home helped contribute to the fantastic total of £300. More importantly, the children helped raise awareness of the important role LOROS plays in supporting patients and families across the region.
Their fundraising efforts are far from over. As enthusiastic supporters of LOROS, they are already planning and taking part in more events, including the much-loved LOROS Reindeer Run, continuing their commitment to helping the charity in any way they can.
Everyone at LOROS would like to say a huge thank you to these remarkable young fundraisers, their family, and everyone who supported their event. Their energy, compassion and community spirit are a wonderful reminder that anyone, no matter their age, can make a real difference.
They should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved. Through their creativity, generosity and determination, they have not only raised valuable funds but have also inspired others to get involved and support their local hospice.
The future looks bright with young people like these leading the way. 💛
