The Run Leicester Festival is back! This iconic, high-energy event is taking place on Sunday 13th October 2024 and we’d love you to consider running on behalf of LOROS Hospice.
This year you have the choice of two routes the Half Marathon (13.1 miles) or the 10k route. Both routes will begin at Victoria Park and take you on a tour of Leicester's city centre streets and beautiful open parks. With plenty of entertainment along the way, your legs sure will be kept moving with cheers, chants and celebration.
And what better motivation than running on behalf of your local Hospice, LOROS? We have a number of free places available for the event, all we ask is that you pledge to raise at least £100 in sponsorship for the charity.
Run Leicester Half Marathon
Beginning in Leicester’s Victoria Park, the 13.1 mile route will take you on a tour of Leicester’s city centre streets and beautiful open parks. With plenty of entertainment along the way, your legs sure will be kept moving with cheers, chants and celebration. Whether it’s your first half marathon or you’re looking to get a new personal best, the Run Leicester Half Marathon is set to be a great day of running, music, and fun!
Run Leicester 10k
Starting and finishing at Victoria Park, the all-new Run Leicester 10k will follow the Half Marathon route up the Golden Mile as far as Loughborough Road, before passing The National Space Centre and the beautiful Abbey Park. Running back through the heart of the city centre with entertainment to keep you going you’ll face one last hill up the idyllic New Walk, all the way to the finish line.
Our pledge to you
As a thank you for running for LOROS, we will support you by providing you with your very own LOROS running vest, and you’ll have a dedicated point of contact in our Fundraising Team who will be able to help you out with any fundraising or queries as needed. We will also try to link you in with others who are taking part in the event to share advice and to help each other to stay motivated through your training and get you to that finish line.
