Skydive for LOROS

Take on a skydive for charity and experience the thrill of freefalling at speeds of over 120mph – all while raising vital funds for LOROS Hospice care. Whether you’re skydiving in memory of a loved one, pushing yourself to try something new, or simply chasing the thrill of a lifetime, this is an experience you’ll never forget.  

How it works

• £50 registration fee to secure your skydive  

• Pledge to raise £400 for LOROS Hospice  

Your adventure begins at Sibson Aerodrome, climbing high above the clouds to 13,000ft. When the door opens, there’s only one thing left to do – take the leap. Plunge through the sky at over 120mph, before your parachute opens and the pace slows, revealing sweeping views as you glide gently back to Earth, with the unforgettable feeling of doing something extraordinary for LOROS Hospice.  

Our tandem skydives are delivered by UK Parachuting, whose expert instructors have completed thousands of jumps. You’ll be in safe, experienced hands every step of the way, with a full safety briefing provided on the day to ensure you feel confident and ready to take the leap. 

Please note, the minimum age limit for jumping is 16 with parental consent and a maximum weight limit of 15.7 stone also applies. All skydivers will need to fill out a medical self-certification form before jumping. 

Support from LOROS

From the moment you sign up, our Challenge Event Coordinator will be right by your side, supporting you throughout your entire fundraising journey for LOROS Hospice. You’ll receive a series of helpful emails packed with fundraising tips, ideas, and proven strategies to help you maximise your sponsorship and reach your target with confidence. 

We’ll also provide practical fundraising resources such as collection buckets and tins, should you wish to use them. 

If you’re taking part in one of our group LOROS skydive dates, a friendly LOROS representative will be there on the day to offer that final boost of encouragement — and to celebrate with you once you’ve landed safely back on solid ground.
