Louise goes to Uni!

by Jackie Goss

I am hugely excited to share with you a wonderful career development opportunity that Louise Kiernan, Wellbeing Coordinator, has decided to take.

You will know that since January 2022 Louise created and enacted the Wellbeing strategy. She works tirelessly to promote the six zone of wellbeing for every member of staff and volunteer and regularly engages with colleagues from all over LOROS to ensure that wellbeing awareness, education and events are tailored for staff and volunteers. Further, Louise represents LOROS at a variety of ICB and NHS forums, and also actively engages in other local events and groups.

Now, on top of this great work, Louise has decided to take a huge leap forward for herself in her career by starting a Degree course in Health and Wellbeing in Society at De Montfort University in Leicester. This is a Bachelor of Science course and will be completed in three years.

While studying, Louise will continue her role within LOROS and juggle her many other varied interests, alongside raising her two lively boys and running a household. Louise has sought out and seized this opportunity herself, making the undertaking even more admirable. I am sure we all wish Louise the best of luck with her studies, and look forward to her practicing her learning on us all in the coming years!

Good luck Louise!
