Volunteering Opportunities at LOROS events

At LOROS, we believe in the power of community. Our fundraising events raise hundreds of thousands of pounds each year, which helps LOROS provide high-quality end-of-life care for its patients.

Please note you must be 18 years old or over to volunteer at our events.

Why volunteer for LOROS events?

We would not be able to hold these events without the help of volunteers, which is why we encourage you to sign up! Volunteering for LOROS events is so flexible – you can contribute just a few hours and still make a big difference!

Make a meaningful impact

As a volunteer, you become an essential part of the event. Not only does your contribution help the event run smoothly, by giving us your time, we can concentrate on raising money to ensure the best possible care for our patients.

Build connections and friendships

Volunteering is not just about giving – it’s also about receiving! Joining us as a volunteer opens the door to new friendships, connections, and a sense of belonging. Share experiences, laughter, and work with people from backgrounds and cultures which you may never have had the chance to otherwise.

New experiences

Step out of your comfort zone and experience new environments that you may not usually find yourself in. Our events range from open days at the Hospice to road races to grand balls, allowing you to expand your horizons and create lasting memories!

How does volunteering at events work

Volunteering opportunities vary hugely, from marshalling at mass participation events, through to assisting on an admin desk, selling raffle tickets and much more. It’s entirely dependent on the event and what you'd like to do!

We operate an events volunteering mailing list, so as and when any opportunities arise, we will send out an email detailing what roles we have available, dates, times and what it involves. Then, if you're interested, just reply and let us know. You can always opt out at any time.

Should you decide to volunteer for an event, we will send you all the information around two weeks before it takes place. You will also be briefed on everything you need to know about your role on the day.

How to get involved

Please submit an event volunteer registration form and we'll be in touch with further information and next steps.

Please note you must be 18 years old or over to volunteer at our events.
