Tickets for LOROS’ Evening with Lord Sebastian Coe sponsored by Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd at the Mercure Hotel have now SOLD OUT! The 270 tickets were snapped up well before the “early bird” deadline back in February and LOROS have had to create a reserve list for those who didn’t manage to purchase tickets.

LOROS Fundraising Manager Diane Morris said; “We are delighted that the event has sold out so much in advance. We anticipated that having Lord Coe as an after dinner speaker would pull in the crowds and it certainly has! I, along with everyone else, can’t wait to hear him being interviewed. We are very grateful to Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd for sponsoring the event and to the Mercure Hotel for enabling us to host this evening in aid of LOROS.”

The Victorian ballroom at the Mercure Hotel will set the scene for this fantastic, star studded event with the guest list comprising of former England and Leicester Tigers Captain Martin Johnson (LOROS Patron); International Rugby ace and Leicester Tigers icon, Manu Tuilagi accompanied by his brother Freddie Tuilagi (former Tigers player); current World Number Two snooker pro Mark Selby (LOROS Patron) and former Chelsea and Leicester City footballing legend Alan Birchenall (LOROS Patron). With so many highly regarded sportsmen in attendance on the evening Lord Coe will be in good company.

The evening will be compered by Matt Poole, long-time partner of Martin Johnson in the Tigers second row, he was selected to tour with England in 1990 and a Pilkington Cup winner with Tigers in 1993. Guests will enjoy a four course dinner, followed by a live auction with proceeds going to LOROS after which Matt Poole will interview Lord Coe. The evening will culminate in a Q & A session giving guests the unique opportunity to quiz Lord Coe, the driving force behind the highly successful London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Lord Coe said “I am delighted to support LOROS and the fantastic work they do. I hope I can make a difference to the 2,500 patients and their families they help each year throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland by attending what I am sure will be a most enjoyable evening.”

The evening will take place on Thursday 11th April. If you are able to help raise vital funds for LOROS and support this event, or other LOROS events, by donating an item for the live auction we will ensure that your company receives appropriate publicity.
