Stapleford Steam and Real Ale Festival returns this weekend on the famous miniature railway.

It’s one of only two public openings this year - the other will be over the August bank holiday weekend - and once again the event will be raising money for LOROS, the Leicestershire and Rutland Hospice.

Built in 1958 at Stapleford Park, the railway is one of the finest of its kind in the UK with more than two miles of track around beautiful parkland and a lake.

Other attractions will include traction engines, fairground organs, vintage vehicles, miniature engines, trade stands and an old time fairground.

Gates open 10am both days. Admission is £5 adults and £3 children (under fives free).
