A GROUP of ladies are ready to get back in step in memory of a former Mayor of Charnwood.

Tracey Brown, the daughter of former borough councillor for Sileby Roy Brown, is heading the ‘Roy’s Angels’ team that’s once again taking part in the Twilightwalk for LOROS.

Counillor Brown passed away aged 65 in April 2012 at the Leicestershire hospice after a battle with cancer.

Tracey has been fund raising for them since and now she, and some of those that work with her at the Sileby Day Nursery on Cossington Road along with a few of the children they look after’s parents, are taking part in the 10km night walk on April 26.

Tracey said of founding Roy’s Angels: “I just wanted to put something together in memory of dad and to promote LOROS.

“This time we’ve got a bigger group going so hopefully we’ll raise more for LOROS. It’s a fantastic place and there is fantastic things they do there.”
