Colourfun Mile was a blast!

Hinckley Town Centre saw 800 runners on a very sunny Wednesday evening, covered in multi-coloured paint and beaming smiles, running in aid of LOROS, the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Hospice.

People of all ages dressed in their white t-shirts and followed the Colourfun Mile, meeting various colour zones and were blasted with powder paint. With music and entertainment throughout their journey and at the start and finish lines, there was an electric party atmosphere!

Christian Weikert-Picker, LOROS Fundraiser and Event Organiser said, “The event was a great success. Everyone had smiling faces when they crossed the finish line and looked really bright and colourful. We hope that this event raises the much needed funds for the Hospice through sponsorship.

"We would like to thank all of the volunteers on the night and a special thanks to Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council for their tremendous support.”

The Colourfun Mile was a new LOROS event in 2014 and with the fantastic turnout, organisers are looking to repeat it again next year!
