LOROS would like to say a massive thank you to Stapleford Park Country House Hotel for their kind donation of afternoon tea for two, which was thoroughly enjoyed by LOROS MND patient James Gurd and his daughter.

James really enjoys an afternoon tea, so both LOROS and the Hotel were thrilled to be able to create such a special memory for him.

James said: “Thank you so much for the treat of a trip to Stapleford Park. My daughter and I had a wonderful time and sat in the lounge for more than two hours. The staff were very pleasant and most accommodating and we found the whole visit very relaxing - we really enjoyed it.”

Alex Gamble, Partnership Development Executive at LOROS said: “LOROS helps over 2,500 patients and their families each year. At LOROS we believe that everyone with an incurable illness has the right not only to excellent care, but also to living their life as happily as possible.

"James told me that one of his favourite pastimes was partaking of afternoon tea and I knew that Stapleford Park Country House Hotel would fit the bill perfectly. However, we can only provide these opportunities with the help and support of people like Caroline O’Sullivan from the Hotel and we are most grateful to them for affording us the chance to treat one of our patients."

If you would like to treat a patient, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the LOROS Fundraising team on (0116) 231 8431/2 or email fundraising@loros.co.uk
