The Annual Great Glen Wheelbarrow Race took place on Saturday 30th August 2014 at the Recreational Ground, Bindley's Lane.

Yet again, the weather was incredibly kind and it was a lovely bright and dry day. The crowds were out in force and the event raise a superb £2,100 for LOROS.

Adrain Walker, Senior Fundraiser at the Hospice, said: "I would like to say a huge thank you to Andy Williamson and his amazing team for all their hard work and dedication in organising such a great day for the community and for LOROS. This is their 6th year and the generosity and continued support of this event by residents of Great Glen is truly appreciated by us.

"We need to raise more the £4.5 million a year to continue providing free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their family and carers and we couldn't do that without the help and generosity of our fundraisers and supporters."
