An Open Day for volunteers and family of the Police, Ambulance & Fire Services in Leicestershire was recently held at Leicestershire Police Headquarters in Enderby.

They raised an amazing £6,813.91 and two of their staff recently visited LOROS to present their cheque.

As well as raising funds for LOROS, the event gave visitors an insight into the emergency services and provided entertainment, traditional fairground games, refreshments, homemade cakes and a barbeque

LOROS staff and volunteers were there to meet and greet visitors as well as manning inflatable rides, traditional stalls & face painting.

Adrian Walker, Senior Fundraiser at LOROS, said "I am so pleased that Leicestershire Police chose to support LOROS for their Open Day, we are all delighted with the total amount raised.

"LOROS is very proud that 90p of every £1 received goes towards patient care and, as an example, the amount raised at this event could be used to fund the running of the Hospice for more than 7 hours - Thank you so much, we really are very grateful."
