Palmers light up for Christmas

On Thursday, 13th November, Palmers at Enderby opened their doors from 6pm until 9pm for their Christmas Open Night. The Ullesthorpe branch held their own Open Night the following week and both events were a great success.

Drinks and nibbles were served and a performance from a Michel Bubble tribute enhanced the festive atmosphere.

During the evenings, visitors had the opportunity to purchase their Christmas decorations and take advantage of an early bird discount. LOROS (and PROSTaid) also benefitted from the events as Palmers organised a tombola and raffle in aid of the two charities.

Roger Wale, General Manager at Palmers, said: “I am very pleased with the outcome of the events at our centres. The Palmers Team would like to thank everyone who came to celebrate the beginning of the Season with us. The winning ticket numbers in our Raffle are featured on our Facebook Page so please have a look in order to check if you were lucky!

"Magda took the opportunity to introduce us to the LOROS Christmas Card Campaign and we are definitely taking part in this initiative too.”

Magdalena Korytkowska, Fundraising Co-ordinator added: "I felt extremely privileged to be invited to attend the Christmas Open Night at Palmers – Enderby. It was a fantastic event which really began the Christmas Season for me - I’m now ready for the LOROS Christmas Card Campaign and the LOROS Jolly Jumper Day!

"We are so grateful to Palmers for their continued support and for thinking about us when they organise their events“

LOROS Christmas events include: Light Up a Life service (with the Christmas trees kindly donated by Palmers), Christmas Card Campaign, Christmas Concert, Jolly Jumper Day, Santa Dash, Santa Fun Run and Winter Walk.

If you are interested in taking part in any of them, please call the Fundraising Department on (0116) 231 8431/2 or email fundraising@loros.co.uk
