Jolly Jumper Day at Opus Trust Marketing

Opus Trust Marketing kindly decided to join one of our Christmas appeals by organising their own LOROS Jolly Jumper Day which raised £60 for the Hospice.

One of their employees, Darren Clarke (pictured right), went one step further, Not only did he wear an outstanding Christmas sweater; he also visited a local supermarket and raised a few additional pounds for the charity by cheering the customers up with his jumper!

The LOROS fundraising team are keen for more organisations and businesses to get on board and encourage their employees to take part in these types of events and donate a symbolic £1 to LOROS.

Magdalena Korytkowska, one of the fundraising co-ordinators at LOROS said: "We are very grateful that so many people supported out Jolly Jumper campaign which ran throughout December. It is so heartening to know that people care enough to take time out from their own festive celebrations to consider fundraising for us.

"A very similar event is the LOROS Annual Non Uniform/Dress Down Day, which is part of Hospice Care Week. We raised more than £8,000 this year and would love to beat that in 2015.

"I wonder what we could raise if every school, business and organisation in Leicestershire & Rutland organised their own event during that week? Please consider it - together you could make a truly amazing difference to our patients and their families."
