Marathon runners aim to boost LOROS coffers

A TRIO working at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Loughborough have been lacing up their trainers ahead of this year’s Virgin London Marathon.

Dave Bryans, Pedro Juanes and Joanne Spencer are members of the company’s on site running club which was set up almost four years ago by Joanne with support from Run England. They aim to raise money for LOROS.

Dave Bryans said: “Over the past few months we have seen the valuable outstanding work done by all the LOROS staff and volunteers, they put in a lot of unseen work to care for the patients in mostly sad, traumatic times. To spend a few hours running the marathon is nothing compared to the work LOROS put in day in day out.

“The money we raise will go to LOROS to help as they helped our colleagues when they reached out and required much needed help and support.”
