What will survive of us? An exhibition and discussion about legacy and continuing bonds.

This exhibition is organised by the LOROS-DMU Centre for the Promotion of Excellence in Palliative Care (CPEP), and the Universities of Leicester and Bradford as part of with Dying Matters Awareness week. The aim is to help people talk more openly about dying, death and bereavement, and to make plans for the end of life.

What will survive of us?
What will survive of us, bodies?
What will survive of us, our descendants?
What will survive of us, our memories?
What will survive of us, souls?

People have asked these questions for thousands of years, and found various answers in religion, science, genetics, poetry and elsewhere.

How do you want to live on after your death?

Are there things we can do now to secure the kind of legacy we want?

  • You might decide to register as an organ donor, or ask your GP)

  • You might decide to write a will

  • You might think about whether to have children and what we want to pass on to them

  • You might want to plan your own memorials

  • You might want to prepare your souls

Come and share your thoughts at one of our discussions events:
