Chamber choir, MOSAIC, who specialise in a cappella repertoire for eight voices, was formed in 2007 by a group of singing friends.

They now perform regularly around the East Midlands, singing a wide repertoire of classical and popular music from the 16th to the 21st century, raising money for a variety of charities.

On 9th June, they performed at St Botolph's church, Ratcliffe-on-the-Wreake to raise much needed funds for the church and LOROS.

Jeremy Leaman a member of the choir, said: "MOSAIC was formed more or less by accident after I had invited some singing friends to a birthday singing get-together. We made such a good sound that several suggested that we might put on a one-off concert in Mountsorrel. Fifty or so concerts later, we are still going and loving it!!

"We enjoy everything from Bach to the Beatles: we specialise in less frequently performed pieces for 8 voices and our concert programmes normally reflect our diverse musical tastes.

"We love to perform in buildings with beautiful acoustics and in the process we have helped to raise thousands of pounds for national and regional charities.

"I understand that LOROS will be one of the beneficiaries of the concert held in St Botolph's, which is grand."

Diane Morris, Fundraising Manager at LOROS added: "The wonderful repertoire of MOSAIC was delightful and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended the concert.

"I would like to thank Beryl Preston and the Church of St Botolph’s for organising the event and MOSAIC for their wonderful performance.

"It would be fantastic if MOSAIC and LOROS could team up some time in the future; I understand that they will be doing some Christmas concerts where they might dedicate the proceeds to LOROS; we would be thrilled if this comes to fruition."
