LOROS Challenge Week 2016

To kick off the New Year, LOROS is daring you to take on your own challenge to raise money for your local Hospice.

Throughout the whole of this week the Groby Road charity will be showcasing the wide range of exciting fundraising challenges that people can take part in over the next year. From cycling to Paris or jumping out of a plane, to abseiling down a rock face, there really is something for everyone.

Fundraising Co-ordinator at LOROS, Andrew Ward said: “With it being the start of a new year, we thought this was the perfect opportunity for people to challenge themselves while doing something amazing for charity too.

“We have dozens of challenges for people to take part in. This year, as well as our annual events, like skydives and treks, we have also introduced a number of new challenges for people to have a go at, including abseiling off a bridge in the Peak District.

“And if you don’t fancy doing something as intense as those mentioned, we also have things like the Twilight Walk, Full Steam Ahead for LOROS and the Colourfun Mile.”

As well as encouraging people to take on challenges within the UK, LOROS also promotes a number of overseas events, including The Inca Trail in Peru and walking The Great Wall of China.

“If you fancy the challenge of a lifetime, or want to tick off a few more things on your bucket list, then we have plenty in store for you,” added Andrew.

“We are giving you the chance to fulfil your lifelong ambition while helping us to support thousands of terminally ill adults across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

“And if none of the selected events take your fancy, LOROS works closely with Overseas Challenge Providers, to find the perfect challenge for you.”

All of this week, LOROS will be promoting its challenges on its social media pages, while giving people the chance to ask Andrew any burning questions they might have about up-and-coming events.
