COMPANIES and groups in the Loughborough area are being invited to take on an entrepreneurial challenge for charity.

They can get involved with the LOROS Accumulator Challenge this year and compete alongside other local companies, organisations and groups in a bid to win awards for the “Most Innovative Idea”, “Most Engaging Idea” and “Most Money Raised”.

Last year’s Challenge was successfully completed by 18 teams who together raised a fantastic £30,698! The representative of the last year’s winning team from British Gas, Daniel Chaplin said: “I set my personal target high at £5,000 because my wife’s Mum passed away in LOROS in 1994 at the age of 44.

“I am so happy with our final total, not only did I achieve my personal target, but I also know this amount of money will make a great difference to this amazing charity.”

LOROS kick off the campaign on March 16, 2016 and will provide you with £50 and a pack full of inspiring ideas to make the challenge even more entrepreneurial.

You will have three months to “grow” that £50 in any way you like as long as it is legal and ethical.

The challenge finishes on June 15 with an Awards Evening, when competitors will learn who wins this year’s LOROS Accumulator Challenge whilst indulging in lovely canapés and fizz. It’s the perfect opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and local organisations in an informal setting.

This challenge is fun, flexible and suitable for groups of all sizes. Leading participants will feature in press releases generating PR for your organisation. LOROS will also feature your fund-raising activities on our webpage and social media.

Magdalena Korytkowska, Corporate fund-raising co-ordinator at LOROS, said: “Last year’s challenge was a very exciting, competitive and moving time as teams left their comfort zones and did amazing things in order to support their local hospice. I was really impressed with their commitment and achievements and I’m hoping that this year is going to be even bigger and better! I’m looking for teams who would like to make a difference to our patients and their families this year so please register to the LOROS Accumulator Challenge and set your goals high. Please remember though that the challenge is not only about raising money. It’s great fun, a wonderful experience and a way to meet fantastic people and let your entrepreneurial ideas shine.”
