It’s Halloween and things are spooking up at LOROS as tickets have now been released for the Hospice’s most enchanted Twilight Walk to date.

With a theme of myths and magic, this is the perfect chance for women to dust off their wands, dig out their capes and sign up for the biggest girls’ night out in Leicester.

For a limited time only, participants can get their hands on tickets at an extra special early bird price, so sign up before 1st February to make the most of this offer.

And as an extra incentive, the first 50 people to sign up will receive a free gift of Karma jewellery thanks to Argento, in Leicester’s Highcross.

LOROS Fundraising Co-ordinator Laura Fitzsawyer said: “With everyone getting in the Halloween spirit, what more of an excuse do you need to sign up to our Twilight Walk?

“It’s one of the biggest in our event calendar at LOROS and this time round, it’s going to be bigger and better than ever.”

The 10km, which will once again start and finish at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium, is on Saturday 8th April.

More than 1,000 women attended the event this year, raising more than £40,000 for LOROS.

“It was incredible last year because not only were the streets of Leicester full of our Twilight Walkers but members of the general public were out supporting participants en-route too,” added Laura.

“There was a real buzz in the air and such an atmosphere across the city, which made everyone involved very proud.”

At the start of the event there will be the annual balloon release, where people will be able to write a special message on a pink balloon before releasing it in memory of a loved one.

In past years, some of our balloons have been found as far away as Denmark.

“Although our annual Twilight Walk promises to be a night full of fun and entertainment, of course we always take time to remember that a lot of the women walking are doing it in memory of somebody,” added Laura.

“The balloon release is one of the highlights of the evening because it gives the ladies the chance to remember their loved ones, even if they haven’t had any experience of LOROS.

“And for all those men, who are looking for something to do on the evening, we always need volunteers to help out at the event, we’ve got a job for all of you.”

People can register for the special early bird price of £10, if they sign up before February 1st. To sign-up visit loros.co.uk/twilightwalk or call (0116) 231 8431/2
